MJGR exists because there was no single place that tied together a junior golfer's results, ranking, and recruiting story — until now.
Malaysian junior golf results have always existed — they were just scattered: across the MGA, individual academies, SportExcel, U.S. Kids Local Tours, and organizers' own social pages. No single board let a parent, coach, or sponsor see who was actually playing well across the whole country.
MJGR is founded by fellow parents of junior golfers in Malaysia, who understand first-hand the early tee times, the long weekends at the course, and the commitment behind every round. Rather than asking families to self-report scores, MJGR works directly with tournament organizers to bring every junior's results together in one national ranking. The goal is simple: give parents and their golfers a convenient, trustworthy way to track progress, along with the motivation and sense of purpose to keep growing toward their full potential, one tournament at a time.
Points(finish, tier, holes) = the tier's base value × a position percentage × an hole-count multiplier, rounded to the nearest point. Ties share the average of the percentages their tie occupies. Every result a golfer earns across the season counts toward their published total — there's no cap on how many events count, so playing more sanctioned events always helps your ranking, never hurts it. For a multi-day event, a player's finish is their final-round cumulative position — not any single round.

A tier's base points already reflect the strength and length of its field, so Tier 1/2 are reserved for genuine 3+ day, high-caliber events and Tier 3/4 apply automatically by day-count. Separately, some U10/U12 club and circuit categories play a genuinely shortened 9-hole or 6-hole round rather than the standard 18 — this is verified per tournament (never assumed from age or category label) and only reduces points for the specific results confirmed to be shortened.
A standing committee publishes each season's tier assignments, certifies international-event recognition, resolves disputed results, and reviews the formula annually — so the ranking stays credible as it grows.
Every result on the national ranking is public already. Official MJGR Membership (RM100/year, per child) adds a full public Member Profile — photos, achievements, social links, and a "Reach Out" button that lets university coaches and sponsors contact you through MJGR — plus a welcome pack mailed to your address.
You already produce results as part of running a tournament — a photo of the scoreboard, a PDF, an Excel sheet. Hand it over in whatever format you have, and it becomes part of the national record.
